ARTS FESTIVAL Q&A

The Romantic Route 3 Art Festival covers 5 cities and counties, including Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, and Taichung, with a total of 14 cities and towns along the Provincial Highway 3. These towns include: Taipei City; Longtan in Taoyuan; Guanxi, Hengshan, Zhudong, Beipu, and Emei in Hsinchu; Nanzhuang, Sanwan, Shitan, Gongguan, Dahu, and Zhuolan in Miaoli; and Dongshih in Taichung.

Due to the extent of Provincial Highway 3, the art festival has specially planned 1+3 exhibition areas; we recommend planning your visit based on the exhibition areas:

 

  • Taiwan Design Museum located in Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, Taipei.
  • Area 1 (Longtan, Guanxi, Zhudong, Hengshan, Beipu, Emei)
  • Area 2 (Sanwan, Nanzhuang, Shitan, Gongguan)
  • Area 3 (Dahu and Zhuolan in Miaoli, and Dongshih in Taichung)
 

Each area has an art festival Information Center and Information Station (Holiday Only) where you can get a guidebook and the Art Festival Newspaper. If you have any questions about the festival content or itinerary routes, on-site staff are also available to provide assistance.

        • Option A: Take the High-Speed Rail to “THSR Hsinchu Station” and transfer to Taiwan Tourist Shuttle 5700 Lion’s Head Mountain Route and get off at “Beipu Old Street Station,” and walk about 2 minutes.
        • Option B: Take the TRA train to “Zhubei Station” and transfer to Taiwan Tourist Shuttle 5700 Lion’s Head Mountain Route and get off at “Beipu Old Street Station,” and walk about 2 minutes.

    • By Car:
      • National Freeway 1/National Freeway 3 - turn on to National Freeway 4 toward the east-west direction - take the Fengyuan Interchange toward Dongshih and travel about 11 kilometers.
      • Public Transportation: Take a Fengyuan Bus and get off at “Dongshih Forestry Culture Park Station” and walk about 1 minute.

Art Festival Shuttle Service

There are 4 shuttle service routes for this year’s Art Festival, departing from Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, and Taichung City, heading to the 3 major areas and Information Centers. For detailed routes and schedules, please refer to the “Art Festival Shuttle Service”.


By Car

The artworks of this year’s Art Festival are located mainly along "Route 3 (Provincial Highway 3)."

Due to the large scope of the exhibition areas, it is recommended that visitors plan their routes to include the Information Centers or the Information Stations (Holiday Only). Please refer to the transportation information in the item 2 of the Q&A section above.


Public Transportation

The areas where the artworks of this year's Art Festival are located include Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, and Taichung. Visitors can refer to the routes of the Taiwan High Speed Rail and Taiwan Railways to plan an itinerary according to the location of each artwork.
